The Director of Finance serves as the financial leader for the Hospital and related entities, partnering closely with the CEO and senior leadership to manage the organization's financial and legal landscape. This role is critical for ensuring the strategic financial success of the hospital while maintaining operational excellence across accounting, purchasing, revenue integrity, health information systems, and patient access.
Due to the scale of the organization, the Director of Finance must balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on operational support. While the Director holds operational responsibility for key departments, they maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship with the finance team at Surgery Partners, the hospital's management company.
The hospital operates with a patient-focused care model, and the Director of Finance is expected to deeply understand and evolve the organization's mission and vision. Success in this role requires maintaining strict confidentiality regarding patient information and presenting a professional image that reflects positively on the organization to the public. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative environment, building effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and Board members while navigating complex regulatory compliance and healthcare revenue cycles.
Interested candidates should submit their application detailing their experience in hospital finance settings. The selection process involves a review of qualifications, including a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or healthcare administration (Master's preferred) and 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance, SOX compliance, GAAP, and large-scale budget management.
