The University of Illinois Foundation (Foundation) serves as the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization for the University of Illinois. We work closely with alumni, friends, faculty, staff, corporations, and foundations to create fundraising programs that benefit the University. Our mission is to foster a culture of philanthropy that supports the institution's growth and impact.
The Director of Estate Administration, Gift Planning Operations is a strategic leadership position designed to ensure the University and Foundation realize estate distributions in a timely and accurate manner. This role acts as the central hub for documenting and realizing estate gifts, working in conjunction with donors, estate representatives, internal colleagues, and legal counsel.
In this capacity, you will provide guidance and oversight for the administration of life income gifts and other estate commitments. You will serve as the primary liaison with the Foundation's General Counsel and University legal and tax advisors, ensuring all deferred gift commitments are administered in compliance with laws, regulations, and industry best practices. The role also involves maintaining subject matter expertise on planned giving vehicles to develop processes that enhance the efficiency of estate and life insurance administration.
You will be inspired daily in a state-of-the-art, environmentally conscious workspace. Our LEED-certified building features contemporary amenities, including an on-site wellness center and a café offering healthy dining options. We encourage work-life balance through a hybrid schedule for many positions, combining in-office collaboration with up to two days of remote work flexibility.
