Under the direction of the Vice President of Risk Management and Insurance, the Director of Insurance provides enterprise-level leadership, influence, and oversight across the company's global risk transfer strategy. This role ensures that insurance programs, captive structures, and risk financing approaches effectively protect a mission-critical portfolio of data centers and related operations.
This position works across regions and functions to shape how the company anticipates, allocates, and transfers risk in a rapidly evolving environment. You will play a central role in developing the company's global insurance and risk financing strategy, ensuring alignment with operational realities, growth plans, and executive risk appetite. Your work will guide the structure of global insurance programs, including property, casualty, cyber, environmental, construction, and management liability.
As a strategic partner to Operations, Engineering, Security, and Real Estate, you will evaluate exposures across data centers, supply chains, and construction projects. You will maintain strong relationships with global brokers and insurers, ensuring a full understanding of the company's risk profile and strategic priorities. Additionally, you will provide oversight of the global claims process to identify trends that inform program design and loss prevention initiatives, while advising on insurance and indemnity provisions in customer, vendor, and construction agreements.
In this role, you will oversee the insurance budget, evaluating the financial impacts of risk transfer decisions to optimize the total cost of risk. You will ensure adherence to global insurance regulations, captive governance standards, and internal audit requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in participating in due diligence for acquisitions and new market entry, ensuring compliance with local regulations and the seamless integration of insurance programs.
