The Director of Finance & Accounting serves as a pivotal member of the hospital's finance leadership team, responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling all financial functions. This role encompasses direct oversight of accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll activities. The Director ensures the integrity of the organization's financial position by maintaining a comprehensive system of internal controls and accounting records that mitigate risk and ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, Green Mountain Care Board requirements, and industry standards.
As a strategic partner to clinical and operational leaders, senior management, and revenue cycle teams, the Director provides actionable financial insights to optimize resource allocation and support sound decision-making across the organization. A deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, cost reporting, and revenue recognition is essential to navigate the complexities of the health care environment. This position also holds a supporting role within the board finance, investment, and audit committees.
This is an onsite position requiring strong leadership to drive change and foster collaboration across multi-unit health organizations and local health delivery networks.
