The Director of Finance & Accounting serves as a pivotal member of the hospital's finance leadership team, partnering closely with clinical and operational leaders, senior management, and revenue cycle teams. In this capacity, you will provide actionable financial insights to optimize resource allocation, advocate for operational efficiency, and support sound decision-making across the organization.
Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass the planning, implementation, management, and control of all financial functions, including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll. You will maintain a comprehensive system of internal controls and accounting records designed to mitigate risk, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal and state regulations, Green Mountain Care Board requirements, and industry standards. A strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, cost reporting, and revenue recognition is essential to effectively manage the organization's financial position.
As a key strategic partner, you will also hold a supporting role within the board finance, investment, and audit committee, leveraging your expertise to drive change and foster collaboration with senior leadership on operational improvements.
