Corporate Development and Strategy provides the leadership, direction, and expertise necessary to drive business strategy, strategic management disciplines, and business analytics. This function supports Cardinal Health's mission, vision, and valuation objectives through close collaboration with business leaders. The team is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Corporate Development function, ensuring the company's growth initiatives align with its broader goals.
The Director, Corporate Development will serve as a key member of this highly visible and impactful team. This role focuses on M&A deal execution, upstream inorganic strategic planning, deal approval processes, and deal structuring and negotiations. You will work extensively with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams, supporting business and executive leadership in deal evaluation, execution, and venture portfolio strategy.
As part of a rapidly evolving environment, you will be expected to flourish while leveraging exceptional analytical and relationship-building skills. The position involves providing leadership to managers and experienced professional staff, managing organizational budgets, and developing policies to achieve strategic goals. Your decisions will have an extended impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers, requiring you to interact with senior management and persuade others into agreement in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships.
