Corporate Development and Strategy provides the leadership, direction, and expertise necessary to drive business strategy, strategic management disciplines, and business analytics. This function supports Cardinal Health's mission, vision, and valuation objectives through close collaboration with business leaders. The team is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership within the Corporate Development function, ensuring the company's growth initiatives align with broader organizational goals.
The Director, Corporate Development will serve as a key member of a highly visible and impactful team. This role focuses on M&A deal execution, upstream inorganic strategic planning, deal approval processes, and deal structuring and negotiations. You will work extensively with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams, supporting business and executive leadership in deal evaluation, execution, and venture portfolio strategy.
Success in this position requires the ability to flourish in rapidly evolving environments while leveraging exceptional analytical and relationship-building skills. As a leader, you will provide direction to managers and experienced professional staff, manage organizational budgets, and develop policies to achieve strategic goals. Your decisions will have an extended impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers, requiring you to interact with senior management and persuade others into agreement in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships.
