This position serves as a pivotal leader within the OCO Jail Diversion Services department, dedicated to organizing, administering, and overseeing a comprehensive suite of behavioral health programs. The role is designed to bridge the gap between clinical care and community support, managing critical initiatives such as the Forensic Case Management System, Psychosocial Rehab Program, Assertive Treatment Teams (ACT/FACT), and Crisis Triage Services.
The primary mission of this role is to ensure the seamless operation of these units while fostering strong partnerships with key community entities, including the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center, Public Defenders Office, and the District Attorney. By integrating the hospital's strategic objectives into daily operations, the incumbent will drive the development of behavioral health programs that meet evolving community needs.
As a leader in this capacity, you will provide direct oversight of clinical operations, ensuring strict adherence to state and federal regulations. Your day will involve managing complex contracts and grants, preparing requests for proposals, and monitoring institutional compliance. You will also represent the organization at various community boards and committees, advocating for the needs of the behavioral health population.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to supervising professional clinical and support staff. This includes developing efficient organizational structures, managing hiring and training, and fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth. You will analyze data to identify areas for improvement, prepare detailed reports, and administer the division's annual budget. While this role involves no direct patient care, it requires a deep understanding of the clinical environment to effectively guide the teams that do.
Candidates selected for this position will undergo a standard review process involving an evaluation of qualifications, experience, and cultural fit. Successful applicants will be subject to an annual contract and performance appraisal.
