epocrates, Inc., an athenahealth company, is recognized for developing the #1 medical application among U.S. physicians for clinical content, practice tools, and health industry engagement at the point of care. We have established a loyal network of more than one million health care professionals, including 50 percent of U.S. physicians, who routinely use our intuitive solutions to help streamline workflow and improve patient care.
At athenahealth, we stand for simplicity in an industry that becomes more complex by the day. Our mission is to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all. Our talented employees, or "athenistas," are diverse dreamers and do-ers who unite as mission-driven problem-solvers. Our award-winning culture is built around shared values of inclusiveness, accountability, and support.
As the Director, Commercial Lead for epocrates, you will join the Sales team to oversee a portfolio of high-profile pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts. This role is designed for an experienced commercial leader with a strong executive presence and deep pharmaceutical media expertise. You will help shape and expand one of epocrates' most important strategic agency partnerships, serving as a strategic advisor to clients and a market-facing representative of the company.
Beyond managing a book of business, you will drive long-term account growth and strengthen executive-level partnerships. You will play a critical role in developing integrated, forward-thinking media strategies that span endemic digital advertising, sponsorships, programmatic activation, custom solutions, audience intelligence, and emerging AI-enabled engagement capabilities. You will operate at both a strategic and executional level, influencing annual planning discussions and elevating epocrates' position within the healthcare media ecosystem.
You will partner cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Agency & Business Development, and Commercial Growth & Strategy to drive strong client outcomes and support long-term commercial growth across strategic accounts and partnerships.
We prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of our business, from attracting and sustaining a diverse workforce to maintaining an inclusive environment for our employees, partners, customers, and the communities where we work. Our vision of accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all requires addressing the inequities that stand in the way.
We encourage a better work-life balance with flexibility, recognizing that not all work needs to be done within an office environment. While in-office collaboration is critical to our vision, we enable employees to find a balance that feels fulfilling and productive for each individual situation. Our culture is based on learning, the support of an engaged team, and an inclusive environment where all employees are valued.
