About the Team

Cardinal Health Sonexus Access and Patient Support helps specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers remove barriers to care, enabling patients to access, afford, and remain on the therapies they need for a better quality of life. Our diverse expertise in pharma, payer, and hub services allows us to deliver best-in-class solutions that drive brand and patient success. We are continuously integrating advanced and emerging technologies to streamline patient onboarding, qualification, and adherence.

Our non-commercial specialty pharmacy is centralized at a custom-designed facility outside of Dallas, Texas, empowering manufacturers to rethink the reach and impact of their products. This team operates as a critical leadership hub, overseeing patient support experts to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and the successful delivery of patient services solutions.

About the Role

The Director, Access & Patient Support is a critical leadership role responsible for the tactical execution of operations for multiple large, assigned programs for contracted client manufacturers. You will oversee a team of approximately 100 employees across diverse roles and experience levels, cultivating an employee-centric culture that prioritizes engagement, professional growth, and talent retention.

In this position, you will steward relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturer clients while developing an internal culture that retains and develops talent at all levels. You will possess a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement and managed care operations, overseeing revenue and budget accountability. The role requires fostering strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including Field Reimbursement, Market Access, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Pharmacovigilance, Medical, and Quality to ensure seamless coordination of patient access and support initiatives.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Clinical Operations Management, you will act as a business sponsor for all initiatives impacting assigned accounts, leading cross-functional, highly matrixed teams to ensure timely completion of client deliverables and adherence to key performance indicators.
