This entry-level position within the day program department at The Cog in Homestead, PA, is dedicated to following all health and safety protocols outlined in each individual's Individualized Service Plan (ISP). The role exists to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment where individuals can thrive. You will be a constant presence, engaging and interacting with individuals in a positive manner regardless of their behaviors, while providing supervision and support for activities of daily living.
Your day will involve clear and thorough communication with a wide network of team members, including family, medical professionals, supports coordinators, behavior consultants, and other staff. You will assist individuals with room cleaning, chores, laundry, and personal hygiene, while documenting progress and incidents accurately. This role requires physical stamina to accompany individuals on off-site activities and the ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and behavior management interventions when necessary.
