About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be the heart of our community-based services, providing essential support within a residential setting or periodic program. Your role is to empower individuals to achieve their personal goals while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with a small group of individuals (typically 4-6 in residential settings) to facilitate their daily lives, from personal care and medication administration to community integration and socialization.
This is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to create relationships that matter. You will assist individuals in exercising their rights, managing their assets according to their preferences, and participating in activities that bring them joy. Whether you are accompanying someone to a medical appointment, preparing a meal that respects their dietary needs, or simply sharing a moment of connection, your presence makes a difference. You will work as part of a collaborative team, maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment while documenting progress and communicating effectively with families, guardians, and case managers.
