The Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) at the University of Louisiana Monroe serves as the strategic voice of the institution. Our mission is to promote the university's brand, mission, and strategic priorities through compelling storytelling and high-quality visual media. We work collaboratively with campus leadership, faculty, and students to shape the narrative of ULM for diverse audiences, including prospective students, donors, and the broader community.
As the Digital Media Specialist, you will serve as the university's primary videographer and visual storyteller. This role is designed to capture the vibrant life of our campus and translate it into engaging visual narratives that support recruitment, advancement, athletics, and academic programs. You will be the creative force behind our video content, conceptualizing, filming, editing, and distributing multimedia assets that resonate across digital platforms, social media, and institutional events.
In this position, you will work closely with marketing staff and campus partners to align visual storytelling with strategic goals. Your day-to-day involves planning and executing professional video productions, managing production logistics, and ensuring all content meets the highest standards of quality and brand consistency. You will also play a key role in documenting campus life, from academic research initiatives to major ceremonies, helping to build a lasting digital archive of the ULM experience.

Experience in higher education or marketing and communications. Experience with live streaming or broadcast production. Drone videography certification (FAA Part 107) or willingness to obtain. Knowledge of brand standards and digital marketing strategy.
