As a Digital Engagement Strategist III, you will serve as a vital link between the organization's scientific research and the broader public. Your mission is to align all digital engagement activities with the core goal of informing, educating, and inspiring audiences about science and technology. You will be responsible for elevating the organization's profile as a leader in the field, ensuring that every piece of content fosters a vibrant online community.
In this role, you will craft compelling narratives that translate complex scientific discoveries and technological inventions into meaningful messages for national and international audiences. You will manage the organization's digital presence across major platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging channels, while driving traffic to primary digital properties. Your work will directly support the transition of the acquisition community by showcasing the impact of research and innovation.
The day-to-day involves leveraging data analytics to understand audience behavior and refine strategies for maximum impact. You will create and manage educational content, oversee video streaming initiatives, and execute information and influencer campaigns. This position requires a professional who can effectively represent the organization's interests in multimedia and face-to-face venues, ranging from print and broadcast to exhibit formats. Occasional travel will be required to support ONR events.
