The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive nutritional support, education, and consultation services designed to optimize aircrew health and performance. As the subject matter expert in operational dietetics, you will contribute directly to the development and execution of performance nutrition curriculum, assessments, and program improvements. Your work will align closely with mission goals and CRAFT requirements, ensuring that aircrew resilience is supported through evidence-based nutritional strategies.
You will serve as a vital link between clinical nutrition and operational readiness. A significant portion of your day will be spent in the field, maintaining a presence in flying squadrons, flight rooms, and aircrew spaces to foster rapport and engagement. This immersive approach allows you to tailor dietary guidance to the unique demands of aircrew life.
Your responsibilities extend beyond individual consultations to include the development of Human Performance (HP) syllabi and courseware. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure curriculum relevance and integrate nutrition into broader performance frameworks. The role involves conducting educational briefings, seminars, and wellness consultations, while also managing clinical-level nutritional assessments and documentation within the Medical Treatment Facility's electronic health record system.
As a key stakeholder, you will coordinate program goals with local leadership, support social marketing efforts, and participate in the annual Aircrew Human Performance Summit. You will also engage in quarterly domain-specific sync calls to support virtual and in-person efforts across various CRAFT sites, ensuring consistency and program cohesion even in locations without assigned Dietitians.
Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.
