The Dietitian serves as a critical subject matter expert in operational dietetics, dedicated to delivering comprehensive nutritional support, education, and consultation services. The primary objective is to optimize aircrew health and performance by contributing to the development and execution of performance nutrition curriculum, assessments, and program improvements. This role is essential for aligning dietary strategies with mission goals and CRAFT requirements.
You will partner closely with the Site Lead, Dietetics Lead (DL), and the interdisciplinary Human Performance (HP) team to ensure cohesive program delivery. A defining aspect of this position is maintaining a strong operational presence; you will spend at least 20% of your duty hours within flying squadrons, flight rooms, or aircrew spaces to foster rapport and engagement.
Your day-to-day involves providing individualized and group-based dietary guidance tailored to aircrew resilience, conducting clinical-level nutritional assessments, and documenting findings in the electronic health record system. You will also develop and deliver performance nutrition content for Human Performance syllabi, ensuring curriculum relevance through interdisciplinary collaboration. Beyond direct care, you will coordinate program goals with local leadership, support social marketing efforts, and participate in quarterly domain-specific sync calls to support virtual and in-person efforts across CRAFT sites.
