Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAttend dietary and food service-related meetings
- check_circleAssist with special department projects as directed
- check_circleReview and audit patient menus to ensure food reflects diet orders and restrictions
- check_circleDocument patient screening and diet information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
- check_circleEnsure menu choices, supplements, and tube feedings align with current diet orders
- check_circleScreen patients for nutritional status, cultural food preferences, allergies, and meal patterns
- check_circleAudit patient meal trays to verify correctness before they leave the kitchen
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related health care field
- verifiedThorough understanding of patient nutritional assessment and modified diets
- verifiedAbility to use Windows based computer programs
- verifiedBasic medical terminology
Nice to Have
Current Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Two years' experience as a Dietetic Technician, Nutrition Assistant or Dietary Aide in an acute care setting.
