The Diet Tech serves as a vital support to the Food Service Director, ensuring the daily operations of the Dietary Department run smoothly while maintaining strict compliance with regulations. This position blends administrative precision with direct nutrition support to deliver safe, high-quality meal services to residents. The role is central to maintaining accurate resident diet orders, managing nutrition records, and ensuring the integrity of meal delivery from the kitchen to the resident's room.
In this capacity, you will act as a bridge between nursing staff, dieticians, and the kitchen team. Your day involves managing communications regarding diet changes, conducting meal rounds to address resident concerns, and monitoring food quality and tray line accuracy. You will also play a key role in maintaining resident databases and supporting inventory efforts, all while fostering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for those we serve.
