As a Technician II at Penske, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the newest and best-maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You are a respected professional trusted to work independently on major and minor repairs, perform road tests to diagnose problems, and complete maintenance tasks with little to no supervision. Your role is vital in helping our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.
Beyond technical execution, you will set an example for the team, informally mentoring new technicians while continuing to grow your own skills through collaboration with experienced peers and management. You will work on a diverse array of equipment rather than being limited to a single manufacturer, leveraging your existing experience while learning Penske's specific vehicle maintenance processes and cutting-edge technology.
We pride ourselves on a culture where safety and reliability are top priorities. We work hard to get the job done, but we also ensure you have the time needed to do the job right. Our facilities are kept clean, and we provide all necessary major shop tools. If you are an experienced vehicle technician seeking a stable career with significant opportunities for growth, you will find a supportive environment here.
We offer a strong, well-rounded training program, including the Penske Technician Certification Program, which is certified as a Continuing Automotive Service Education provider. This ensures you stay inspired and encouraged by the best in the industry as you advance your career.
To join our team, candidates must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background screening, which includes criminal checks, past employment verification, and education verification. As this position is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and designated as safety-sensitive, successful candidates must also pass a drug screening.
For those hired, the process includes maintaining a current driver qualification file, which requires an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and a Safety Performance History records request from prior employers. CDL holders will undergo a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of their start date and are subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment, ensuring that all associates have the opportunity to succeed based on their skills and performance.
