As a Technician II at Penske, you will be a respected member of our team, trusted to work independently on major and minor repairs for one of the industry's best-maintained fleets. You will perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on a diverse range of truck and trailer equipment, ensuring our customers' vehicles remain safe and on the road. This role is designed for experienced technicians who want to leverage their skills while continuing to grow through mentorship and advanced training.
You will set an example for new technicians, informally mentoring them while learning from experienced peers and managers. Interested candidates must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background screening, which includes criminal checks, past employment verification, and education checks. As this is a safety-sensitive position regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT), successful candidates must also pass a drug screening and maintain a current driver qualification file. This file includes an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records from prior employers.
CDL holders will undergo a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of their start date and are subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely navigate the work environment is required. We look for individuals who are willing to travel within the district as necessary and accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
