About the Role
The Acute Registered Nurse serves as a critical clinical partner within the hospital environment, delivering specialized acute dialysis care and treatment to patients. This role is designed to bridge the gap between hospital operations and high-quality renal care, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.
In this position, you will work under the guidance of the Charge Nurse or Acute Manager, with reporting lines potentially extending to Area Directors, Regional Directors, or the Vice President of Operations depending on regional demographics. Your day-to-day involves not only direct patient care but also the supervision and mentorship of Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses. You will be responsible for initiating and terminating treatments, managing complex equipment, and maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
Beyond clinical duties, this role is pivotal in driving operational excellence. You will actively participate in improving patient health outcomes, minimizing hospitalizations, and ensuring accurate data submission for treatment charges. By fostering collaborative relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and hospital staff, you will help uphold the organization's commitment to guest customer service standards and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements
- verifiedCurrent RN license in applicable state or compact
- verified12 months or more current nursing experience preferred
- verifiedPrevious experience in providing nursing care to patients on dialysis preferred
- verifiedCPR certification required with hospital approved program
- verifiedAbility to pass color screening
- verifiedDemonstrated working knowledge of the English language
- verifiedBasic computer skills
- verifiedProficiency in USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire
- verifiedMust meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state
- verifiedAbility to meet minimum hospital/agency hiring standards including background clearances
Nice to Have
