About the Role

The Acute Registered Nurse serves as a critical clinical partner within the hospital environment, delivering specialized acute dialysis care and treatment to patients. This role is designed to bridge the gap between hospital operations and high-quality renal care, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.

In this position, you will work under the guidance of the Charge Nurse or Acute Manager, with reporting lines that may extend to Area Directors, Regional Directors, or the Vice President of Operations depending on regional demographics. You will play a vital role in improving patient health outcomes while minimizing hospitalizations and rehospitalizations through the efficient management of clinical and operational processes.

Your day-to-day involves a dynamic blend of direct patient care and operational leadership. You will administer medications, perform pre- and post-treatment physical assessments, and manage the initiation and termination of dialysis treatments, including catheter care. Beyond clinical duties, you will ensure the accuracy of patient data, manage inventory, and maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations. You will also foster a collaborative environment by communicating effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and hospital staff, while mentoring and supervising Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire. Successful applicants must meet all minimum hospital and agency hiring standards, which may include additional background clearances and orientation requirements specific to the assigned program.
