Maximus is seeking a Diagnostic Scheduling Communication Specialist to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. In this remote capacity, you will serve as a vital link between veterans and our provider network, managing incoming scheduling communications and distributing essential facility information to internal teams. Your work directly supports regional teams, Team Support Specialists, and Team Leads by handling specialized administrative functions that ensure the smooth operation of veteran appointment logistics.
Your primary focus will be facilitating the scheduling journey for veterans. You will initiate calls to gather required information, manage rescheduling requests, and act as the first point of contact for the Scheduling Hunt Group. A significant portion of your day involves monitoring voicemail hourly to ensure timely responses, processing pending Claimant Appointment Packets (CAPS), and coordinating with internal departments to resolve complex scheduling needs. Additionally, you will handle the physical logistics of printing and mailing hard copy CAPS to veterans via FedEx, ensuring every veteran receives the necessary documentation promptly.
This is a fully remote position requiring you to permanently reside in the Continental US. To maintain the security and integrity of our operations, remote work must be conducted from the specific location designated at the time of hire; travel is not permitted. You will be provided with all necessary computer equipment by Maximus, which must be used exclusively for work activities. Your home office must feature a private work area, an adequate power source, and a high-speed internet connection (20mbps or higher) via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Candidates must be prepared to commit to a rigorous three-week training period, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST, with no pre-scheduled absences. Upon completion of training, you will work a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with options for 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm EST, or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST.
Due to specific contract requirements, only US Citizens or Green Card holders are eligible for this opportunity. Maximus is committed to fair compensation; for this contract, we will pay the prevailing wage rate for the employee's location as determined by the Department of Labor. Salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
