Maximus is seeking a Diagnostic Scheduling Communication Specialist to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. In this remote capacity, you will serve as a vital link between veterans, providers, and internal teams. Your primary mission is to manage incoming scheduling communications, ensuring that provider and facility information is accurately dispersed to support regional operations.
You will handle a high volume of interactions, including calling veterans to gather required information for appointments, managing rescheduling requests, and directing calls within the Scheduling Hunt Group. The role also involves monitoring and processing pending Claimant Appointment Packets (CAPS), responding to notification emails, and coordinating the mailing of hard copies to veterans via FedEx. This position is designed to supplement the work of Team Support Specialists and Team Leads, ensuring seamless administrative support for the VES team.
This is a fully remote opportunity, but strict adherence to contract requirements is necessary. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders and must permanently reside in the Continental US. Remote work must be conducted from the specific location designated at the time of hire; travel is not permitted, and you must remain at your designated home location for all work activities.
Maximus will provide all necessary computer equipment for this role. However, you are required to maintain a private work area with adequate power and a stable internet connection (20mbps or higher) via Wi-Fi or a Category 5/6 ethernet cable.
Successful candidates must be willing to commit to a 3-week training period, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST, with no prescheduled absences. Following training, the role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with options for 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm EST, or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST.
For positions on this contract, Maximus will pay the prevailing wage rate for the specific location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor. This rate varies by locality. Please note that an applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation.
