Maximus is seeking a Diagnostic Scheduling Communication Specialist to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. In this remote capacity, you will serve as a vital link between veterans, providers, and internal teams. Your primary mission is to manage incoming scheduling communications, ensuring that provider and facility information is accurately dispersed to support regional operations, Team Support Specialists, and Team Leads.
You will be the first point of contact for veterans requiring appointment scheduling, handling inbound calls, managing the Scheduling Hunt Group, and processing pending Claimant Appointment Packets (CAPS). This role requires a high degree of organization to coordinate manual CAPS distribution via FedEx and maintain timely communication through email and voicemail systems. The position is designed to support the efficient flow of veteran care by ensuring no scheduling request goes unanswered.
This is a fully remote opportunity, but strict adherence to contract requirements is essential. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders and must permanently reside in the Continental US. Remote work must be conducted from the specific location designated at the time of hire; travel for work purposes is not permitted.
Maximus will provide all necessary computer equipment for this role. However, candidates must ensure their home office meets specific connectivity standards, including an internet speed of 20mbps or higher and a private work area with adequate power. Connectivity must be established via Wi-Fi or a Category 5/6 ethernet patch cable.
Successful candidates must be prepared for a dedicated 3-week training period, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, with no prescheduled absences. Following training, the role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with options for 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST, or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST.
For positions on this contract, Maximus pays the prevailing wage rate for the specific location of the employee, as determined by the Department of Labor. This rate varies by locality. Please note that an applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation.
