Maximus is seeking a Diagnostic Scheduling Communication Specialist to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. In this remote capacity, you will serve as a vital link between veterans and our provider network, managing incoming scheduling communications and distributing essential facility information to internal teams. Your work ensures that administrative functions run smoothly, directly supporting regional teams, Team Support Specialists, and Team Leads.
Your primary focus will be facilitating the appointment process for veterans. This involves making calls to gather required information, managing rescheduling requests, and handling the Scheduling Hunt Group to ensure no inquiry goes unanswered. You will monitor pending Claimant Appointment Packets (CAPS), respond to notification emails, and manage the logistics of printing and mailing hard copies to veterans via FedEx. Effective communication with internal departments is key to maintaining timely responses and a seamless experience for our veterans.
Successful candidates must be prepared to commit to a rigorous three-week training period, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, with no prescheduled absences. Following training, you will work a standard business schedule aligned with your designated time zone (CST, EST, or PST).
As a remote employee, you are required to remain at your designated home location within the Continental US for all work activities; travel is not permitted. Maximus will provide all necessary computer equipment for this role. To ensure operational efficiency, your home office must have a private work area, adequate power, and an internet connection of at least 20 Mbps via Wi-Fi or a Category 5/6 ethernet cable.
Due to specific contract requirements, this opportunity is open only to US Citizens or Green Card holders. Maximus is committed to fair compensation; for this contract position, we pay the prevailing wage rate for the employee's location as determined by the Department of Labor. Salary history will not be used to determine your compensation.
Maximus is an equal opportunity employer.
