As a Scheduling Coordinator for Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, you will serve as a vital link between veterans and the healthcare system. Your primary mission is to ensure veterans receive timely access to their scheduled appointments by managing the flow of communication and administrative logistics. You will handle the end-to-end coordination of appointment scheduling, acting as the first point of contact for veterans requiring assistance with their care journey.
In this role, you will manage the Scheduling Hunt Group, answering and redirecting calls while diligently monitoring voicemails to ensure no inquiry goes unanswered. Your day-to-day involves processing pending Claimant Appointment Packets (CAPS), responding to notification emails, and coordinating with internal departments to facilitate smooth operations. A key part of your responsibilities includes the physical logistics of the role, such as printing and mailing hard copy CAPS to veterans via FedEx, ensuring that all necessary documentation reaches our veterans efficiently.
This is a fully remote position based on a contract with the Service Contract Act (SCA). You must permanently reside in the Continental US and work from a designated home location; travel is not permitted. Maximus will provide all necessary computer equipment for this role, and you are required to use company-provided devices exclusively.
To succeed in this position, you must have a reliable home office setup, including a private work area, adequate power source, and an internet connection of 20mbps or higher via Wi-Fi or a Category 5/6 ethernet cable. The role requires a commitment to a standard Monday-Friday schedule (8:00am - 5:00pm CST, with equivalent times for EST and PST) and a mandatory 3-week training period with no prescheduled absences.
Maximus is committed to a transparent hiring process. For positions on this contract, we pay the prevailing wage rate for the specific location of the employee, as determined by the Department of Labor. This wage varies by locality, and your salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
