As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will serve as a vital link between veterans and the care they need. In this position, you will manage the end-to-end appointment scheduling process, ensuring that veterans receive timely communication and support. Your day will involve handling a high volume of calls, coordinating with internal departments, and managing the logistics of appointment packets to keep the scheduling pipeline moving smoothly.
This role is critical for maintaining the efficiency of the veteran evaluation services. You will be the first point of contact for many veterans, requiring a professional and empathetic approach as you assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and responding to inquiries. The position offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have served by ensuring their medical appointments are organized and accessible.
This is a fully remote position based on a contract with the Service Contract Act (SCA). You must permanently reside in the Continental United States and work from a designated home location; travel is not permitted. Maximus will provide all necessary computer equipment for you to perform your duties, and you will be required to use this company-provided hardware exclusively.
To ensure a productive workflow, your home office must include a private work area with an adequate power source. You must have a reliable internet connection with a speed of 20 Mbps or higher, connected via Wi-Fi or a Category 5/6 ethernet cable to your home router.
The role requires a commitment to a standard business schedule, Monday through Friday. You will be scheduled for one of the following shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST, or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
Upon hiring, you must be willing and able to complete a mandatory three-week training period. During this training, you will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST with no prescheduled absences.
Maximus is committed to a fair and accessible hiring process. If you require assistance at any stage of the employment process—including accessing job postings, completing assessments, or participating in interviews—due to a disability, medical condition, or physical or mental impairment, please contact People Operations at applicantaccom@maximus.com to request reasonable accommodations.
