Bay Area Community Health is dedicated to providing comprehensive, accessible healthcare to the local community. Our mission drives every aspect of our operations, ensuring that vital services reach those who need them most. The Development Department plays a critical role in this mission by securing the funding necessary to sustain and expand our programs.
As a Development Specialist, you will be the engine behind our grant strategy, supporting the organization's growth by identifying and securing funding from corporate, foundation, and government sources. This role exists to ensure BACH has the resources needed to enhance program delivery and service expansion. You will work under the general supervision of the Fund Development Manager, focusing on the full lifecycle of grant management—from initial research and proposal writing to post-award compliance and reporting.
Your day will involve deep research into funding landscapes, crafting compelling narratives for grant proposals, and maintaining the integrity of our grants database. You will collaborate closely with program managers to ensure our grant submissions accurately reflect our service delivery and strategic goals. Additionally, you will support the broader development team by assisting with events, donor activation, and the supervision of development volunteers.
Interested candidates should submit their resume and a writing sample demonstrating grant writing proficiency. The selection process typically includes a review of qualifications, followed by an interview with the Fund Development Manager and potentially other team members to discuss experience and cultural fit.
BACH is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We value multi-lingual and multi-cultural perspectives and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. We believe that a diverse team strengthens our ability to serve our community effectively.
