Rafiki Coalition for Health and Wellness is a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to eliminating health inequities and improving the lives of Black, African American, and marginalized communities in the Bay Area. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMaintain annual foundation fundraising plan and pipeline with targets and deadlines
- check_circleCoordinate full grant lifecycle including concept notes, proposals, and reports
- check_circleDraft and package compelling grant proposals and reports using program data
- check_circleBuild and steward relationships with foundation program officers and staff
- check_circleCreate sponsorship menus and pitch materials for fundraising events
- check_circleCoordinate outreach to corporate prospects and organize donor asks
- check_circleTrack corporate gifts and sponsorships in CRM and ensure benefit fulfillment
- check_circleLead maintenance of accurate records for institutional funders and major donors in CRM
- check_circleOversee systems for timely acknowledgment letters and emails for all gifts
- check_circleProduce regular reports and dashboards on revenue pipeline and goals
- check_circlePartner with Finance to reconcile development records with accounting systems
- check_circlePrepare briefing materials for ED and leadership ahead of donor meetings
Requirements
- verified3-5+ years nonprofit fundraising experience
- verified2+ years institutional giving experience
- verifiedGrant writing experience
- verifiedExperience supervising staff, consultants, or volunteers
- verifiedFamiliarity with donor databases/CRMs
- verifiedCommitment to racial equity and health equity
Nice to Have
Experience supporting EDs or senior leaders in fundraising (meeting prep, follow-up, briefings). Experience with donor-facing events and/or major gift cultivation. Experience with academic partnership and research grants, government grants, etc. Knowledge of Bay Area philanthropic and corporate landscapes.
