The Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact at the front desk of TNDC properties, playing a vital role in maintaining site safety and providing essential administrative support. Working under the direct supervision of the Assistant Manager or General Manager, this position ensures a secure and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
The role is critical to the daily operations of the building, requiring a balance of vigilance in screening visitors and responsiveness to emergencies. Beyond security duties, the Desk Clerk acts as a key administrative resource, managing building logs, handling mail, and assisting with resident relations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the stability and community of the Tenderloin Neighborhood while developing skills in conflict resolution and customer service within a low-income housing context.
