As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in the Finance/Accounting department, actively participating in all finance cycles to ensure processes are timely, accurate, and efficient. This position requires a deep knowledge of accounting with a specific emphasis on fund accounting, tailored to the unique needs of a non-profit environment.
You will be the backbone of our financial operations, managing accounts payable, cash receipts, and general ledger reconciliations. A key part of your day involves ensuring that grant and donation receipts are properly recorded and that grant revenue and expenditures are tracked in strict accordance with non-profit regulations. You will also support the Chief Financial Officer by providing management with analyzed financial information and assisting with budget monitoring and variance analysis.
Beyond the numbers, this role requires a hands-on approach. You will assist with year-end audit preparations, prepare reports for external auditors and government agencies, and ensure full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and internal control procedures. Your work directly supports the Clinic's mission by maintaining the financial health and transparency necessary to serve our community effectively.
