About the Role

The Design Phase Manager I serves as a vital bridge between the owner's vision and the final construction reality. In this dynamic environment, you will interact with staff at all levels to ensure design solutions and construction parameters align perfectly with client expectations. You will likely manage two projects simultaneously or oversee one larger, complex project, requiring you to be flexible, resourceful, and proactive.

Your day-to-day involves guiding the design team to incorporate constructability, logistics, and customer needs while facilitating the solicitation and contracting of designers for design-build projects. You will work closely with customers to define project expectations, lead the development of detailed design phase and baseline construction schedules, and oversee cost management through estimates and value engineering. Beyond technical execution, this role demands exceptional communication skills to model customer relations, gather feedback, and mentor design phase team members.
