GeoLogics is partnering with a top-tier Aerospace and Defense client to support critical engineering initiatives in Orlando, Florida. This role is part of a specialized team focused on the design and integration of complex electronic hardware for high-stakes defense systems.
About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will serve as a key contributor to the creation of detailed mechanical layouts for Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) boards. Your work will ensure precise fit, clearance, and tolerance compliance while selecting appropriate connectors and managing board integration with enclosures. This position requires a deep understanding of the aerospace and defense product cycles, with a specific focus on CCA board layout and design.
Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting manufacturing issues, supporting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews, and defining test plans. You will collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, systems, reliability, and manufacturing teams to manage documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM). Strong proficiency in PTCCreo and Windchill is essential, with Zuken experience and cable/harness design serving as significant assets.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a 6-month contract position (with possibility of extension) located in Orlando, Florida. The role operates on a 4/10 schedule, offering every Friday off, with 50% telework capability. Candidates must be eligible for W2 employment; C2C, outside agencies, and 1099 arrangements are not accepted.
