The Medical Center is a 1a complexity tertiary care VA healthcare system located in one of the fastest-growing Veteran population regions in the United States. Serving almost 69,000 enrolled Veterans across a 52-county area of Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas, the facility includes a main campus and ten community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs). As a key member of our Dermatology team, you will provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves observing patient responses, utilizing advanced equipment, and reviewing patient records to ensure comprehensive care. You will play a vital part in monitoring and reporting outcomes within the Dermatology Clinic while contributing to the broader mission of the VA.
Beyond clinical duties, you will serve as an educator and mentor. This includes providing dermatology education to fellow physicians and healthcare professionals, as well as supervising and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. The position offers a predictable work schedule with a focus on quality care rather than volume, allowing for meaningful engagement with patients and the community.
