The Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor (OSNP) is a specialized law enforcement agency dedicated to investigating and prosecuting organized crime, including drug trafficking, money laundering, and gang activity. As a veteran law enforcement professional, you will join a team committed to dismantling complex criminal networks and ensuring public safety through rigorous investigation and collaboration with local, state, and federal partners.
As the Deputy Chief Rackets Investigator, you will serve as a key leader within the agency, assisting the Chief Investigator in overseeing all investigative operations and managing the performance of Investigator Teams. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the office's mission to combat organized drug groups, gun violence, and prescription drug abuse.
In this position, you will manage highly sensitive and confidential investigations, ensuring that supervising investigators gather the necessary evidence for complex cases. Your day-to-day responsibilities include supervising individual investigator caseloads, coordinating court proceedings and witness interviews, and monitoring the allocation of agency equipment. You will also play a vital role in planning witness protection programs and maintaining daily logs of arrests and seizures.
A significant portion of your time will be spent coordinating with law enforcement agencies across local, state, and federal levels, including the DEA, Homeland Security, and the U.S. Department of Justice. You will act as a primary liaison, briefing the head of the agency and executive staff on ongoing investigations and serving as a representative for the office in the absence of the Chief Investigator.

Supervisory experience in complex investigations involving domestic and foreign organized drug groups, money laundering, gangs and gun activity, the abuse of prescription narcotic drugs, and wiretap investigations. Substantial experience conducting joint investigations with Federal, State and Local law enforcement partners (e.g., DEA, DHS, ICE, DOJ, NYS Police). High level of past professional achievement, excellent judgement, leadership skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of law enforcement professionals. Knowledge of applicable NYS Penal and Criminal Procedure Laws. Served in the armed forces and/or have extensive enforcement and investigative work as a police officer as defined in the CPL section 1.20 within the State of New York.
