Based at the Oral Surgery Clinic in Hoover, this position operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support surgical procedures. The role is central to maintaining a sterile and efficient operating environment, requiring the ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs and manage sterile supplies and instruments with precision.
Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments, ensuring all team members adhere to strict sterile technique principles, and rotating or restocking operating rooms as needed. The position demands flexibility to handle irregular work schedules and the ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks without losing composure or efficiency.
Success in this role requires a self-directed work ethic and strong interpersonal skills. Team members are expected to foster a sense of cooperation while navigating a fast-paced healthcare environment.
