The Demand Planner serves as a critical analytical partner within Medline's supply chain, bridging the gap between data insights and strategic business decisions. In this role, you will drive value by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor, and communicate the demand forecast for assigned business units. Your work ensures alignment on assumptions, risks, and opportunities, directly influencing how the organization responds to market changes and operational variances.
You will act as a data storyteller, utilizing strong analytical abilities to assess forecast exceptions, evaluate the impact of promotions and events, and recommend tactical revisions. By fostering strong relationships with marketing, sales, and finance leaders, you will help generate consensus demand plans and reconcile annual strategies with monetized forecasts. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement in a high-performing, collaborative environment.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a structured interview process designed to assess both technical forecasting capabilities and cultural fit. The journey typically includes an initial screening to verify qualifications, followed by in-depth discussions with hiring managers and cross-functional partners to evaluate problem-solving skills and collaboration style. Finalists will demonstrate their ability to handle complex quantitative analysis and present data-driven recommendations effectively.
