This position is dedicated to the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers. The Truck Driver serves as a vital link in our operations, ensuring products reach their destinations on time while upholding the company's reputation for reliability and professionalism. Success in this role requires a positive attitude that fosters teamwork and maintains a favorable image of the company.
Your day begins with a thorough inspection of the vehicle, checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluids to ensure roadworthiness. A key part of your responsibility involves interacting directly with customers, providing accurate invoices, collecting payments if necessary, and communicating proper storage and handling procedures.
Beyond driving, the role involves physical tasks such as loading and unloading boxes up to 50 pounds, operating hand trucks, and ensuring the vehicle remains clean and safe. You will maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage, turning in all receipts and invoices to the office daily. Safety is paramount; you must adhere strictly to traffic laws, report any unsafe conditions immediately, and ensure the truck is secured after every delivery.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license (provisional licenses are not accepted) and a clean driving record free of points, tickets, or suspensions from the last three years. Applicants are required to have at least two years of experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
