As a Bakery Deli Manager, you will serve as a key leader within the store, responsible for overseeing all Bakery Deli employees and ensuring the delivery of high-quality bakery and deli products. Reporting directly to the Store, Bakery, and Deli Directors, your mission is to drive operational excellence while cultivating a team that embodies our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will manage daily operations ranging from maintaining department cleanliness and signage to ensuring pricing integrity and optimizing labor costs. You will be the face of the department, sharing expert knowledge with clientele and ensuring that salad and hot cases are properly stocked and rotated. Beyond daily tasks, you will focus on developing your team by training them in safe food handling practices and keeping them up to date with the latest industry knowledge and company policies.
This position involves medium work that requires good vision and hearing. The role demands the ability to stand, move between various workstations, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items. You must be comfortable working on floors that may occasionally become slippery and possess the dexterity to use knives and other sharp instruments for food preparation.
