About the Role
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. As a Driver, Shuttle, you are not just transporting goods; you are the face of the company, building lasting relationships with customers while ensuring products arrive at their destination on time and in perfect condition.
In this position, you will play a vital role in the operation by transporting empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile or shuttle yard locations. You will drive tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes. Your day involves turning around to deliver full trailers with various products in a safe and timely manner, strictly adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring all questions are answered accurately and efficiently.
Hiring Process
Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and a road test. A valid CDL A, a clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years, and a current DOT Health Card (or ability to secure one) are required. Applicants must also be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
