Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. As a Driver, Shuttle, you are not just transporting goods; you are the face of the company, building lasting relationships with customers while ensuring products arrive at their destination on time and in perfect condition.
In this position, you will play a vital role in the operation of the business by transporting empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile or shuttle yard locations. You will drive tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes. Your work involves turning around to deliver full trailers with various products in a safe and timely manner, strictly adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Beyond driving, you will communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately. You will function as a key team member within the department, performing duties assigned to best serve the company and support America's food distribution system.
Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and a road test. A valid current DOT Health Card is required, or the ability to secure one. The role also requires a clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years.
