About the Role
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. As a Driver, Shuttle, you are not just ensuring products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition; you are the face of the company, building lasting relationships with customers.
In this position, you will play a vital role in the operation of the business by transporting empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile or shuttle yard locations. You will drive tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes. Your work involves turning around to deliver full trailers with various products to designated locations in a safe and timely manner, strictly in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Beyond driving, you will communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately. You will function as a key team member within the department, performing duties assigned to best serve the company and its mission of supporting America's food distribution system.
