About the Role
Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Deckhand for our Destrehan, LA operations. This position focuses on a day boat operation, offering the unique benefit of being home daily for the majority of the time, with only occasional overnight trips throughout the year. We are looking for candidates who are focused on project success and committed to exceeding customer expectations.
As a Deckhand, you will be an essential part of the maritime team, performing critical tasks such as barge rigging, shifting, and checking tows. Your day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining tugboat equipment, handling locks and bridges, and performing routine maintenance like cleaning, greasing, painting, and repairing areas on the tug and deck barges. Safety is paramount; you must be able to perform all duties safely and strictly adhere to company safety procedures.
