Quad in Hartford is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handlers (Forklift Drivers) to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are mechanically inclined and ready to take on a new challenge. You will be responsible for inventory control on the production floor, ensuring that materials are brought efficiently and accurately to machines to keep production downtime to a minimum.
In this position, you will move product and skids using various lifting equipment, service press and finishing machines to move product throughout the plant, and load or unload finished products and materials from semi-trailers. You will maintain accurate inventory using onboard PCs and RF barcoding systems while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules. The role requires effective communication with team members and adherence to clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
We offer a 12-hour compressed work schedule (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) that does not rotate, including days, weekends, and holidays. This 3/4 or 4/3 schedule allows you to work just 182 days a year while maintaining full-time status, providing four days off every other week to pursue hobbies, relax, or spend time with family.

Strong computer skills. Prior forklift experience where 75% or more of your day is spent on a forklift. Factory, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Shipping, or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, or warehouse work. Printing, Finishing (Bindery), or Warehouse experience.
