As a Data Subject Matter Expert in Banking & Payments, you will serve as the critical bridge between business strategy, technology execution, and data governance. This role is designed to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions that align with complex banking and payments industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will leverage deep expertise in payment systems and data flows to drive solution design, implementation, and optimization.
In this hybrid capacity based in Troy, MI, you will act as the primary authority on data structures and flows across major payment systems including ACH, RTGS, SWIFT, ISO20022, SEPA, and card networks. Your work will directly impact the integrity of payment hubs and related banking platforms, ensuring that data migration, transformation, and reconciliation activities are executed with precision.
A significant portion of your day will involve designing and developing comprehensive test data sets that mirror real-world banking scenarios. You will collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and developers to define requirements that cover a wide spectrum of transaction types, currencies, and compliance needs. From generating input files in various formats to automating test data creation, your focus will be on creating scalable, secure, and repeatable testing processes that support end-to-end validation and scheme compliance.
This is a Full-Time Employee (FTE) position requiring an independent visa status. Candidates must be prepared to work onsite from day one in Troy, MI, as part of a hybrid role structure. We are seeking a self-starter with strong judgment who can manage multiple priorities and challenge assumptions to propose meaningful improvements.
