As a Data Manager in Bethesda, Maryland, you will serve as a steward for our enterprise data lifecycle. This role exists to ensure that our data assets are not only stored securely but are also governed, integrated, and optimized to meet complex mission requirements. You will act as a bridge between technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data architectures into clear, actionable insights.
In this position, you will navigate federated systems to integrate disparate data sources, ensuring interoperability across the enterprise. Your day-to-day involves defining data standards, conducting quality assessments, and managing configuration controls to maintain traceability and consistency. You will be responsible for developing the documentation and reports that guide our data governance initiatives, ensuring that our repositories remain reliable and accessible for the teams that depend on them.
Candidates for this position must possess a current Top Secret / SCI clearance with a Polygraph. Experience supporting Intelligence Community programs or other federal government environments. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and enterprise data management best practices. Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or other collaboration and configuration management tools. Experience supporting cloud-based data environments and enterprise storage architectures. Familiarity with automation processes that improve data validation, ingestion, and reporting workflows. Experience supporting configuration control boards, technical review processes, or engineering documentation management. Understanding of enterprise interoperability standards and data exchange methodologies. Experience with Data Management Lifecycle Documentation, Data Governance and Quality Plans, Data Integration and Interoperability Plans, Data Repository and Infrastructure Documentation, Configuration Management and Documentation Review Reports, Data Standards and Architecture Recommendations, and Data Performance and Reliability Reports.
