The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), in partnership with the Department of Information Resources (DIR), is advancing its data capabilities through the development of a comprehensive HHS data integration hub within the Performance Management & Analytics System (PMAS). This initiative aims to unify data from diverse sources to drive performance management and analytics across the state's health and human services landscape.
This position serves as a Systems Analyst 3 (Emerging Technologies) within an agile development team dedicated to the design, development, and implementation of the data integration hub. The role is pivotal in translating complex business objectives into technical solutions that automate data acquisition and enhance system performance.
You will function as a technical leader, guiding the agile team through all standard SDLC phases. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with architects and data engineers to design optimal data structures, developing complex SQL scripts for Oracle, and building automation workflows using Informatica. You will be responsible for validating performance metrics, creating user stories, and ensuring the seamless integration of data from sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Excel into a dimensional model. The role requires close interaction with stakeholders to interpret changing business requirements and propose enhancements that align with the agency's strategic goals.
This is a long-term position based in Austin, Texas. The primary work location is 4601 W Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78751. The role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and two days remote. Candidates must be local to the Austin area, residing within a 50-mile radius of the office. This schedule is subject to change based on the hiring team's needs.
