AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle the most challenging problems, navigating thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we are looking for talented people to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to drive bold ideas and empower you to own them to completion within an inclusive culture.
As a Procurement Category Manager supporting Americas data center construction, you will create and implement sourcing strategies for General Contractor services. You will collaborate with internal partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and lower costs. This role requires you to think long-term, drive multiple initiatives simultaneously, and influence customers and suppliers at all levels.
A day in the life involves interacting with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. You will prioritize activities to support data center capacity availability and safety, focusing on actions that are most impactful. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, embracing ambiguity and acting with urgency to meet customer timelines. You will model Amazon's Leadership Principles with an entrepreneurial spirit, working collaboratively with significant autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.

We're continuously raising our performance bar as we strive to become Earth's Best Employer, offering endless knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and other career-advancing resources to help you develop into a better-rounded professional.
We value work-life harmony. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there's nothing we can't achieve.
