Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate, monitor, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure peak efficiency
- check_circleConduct planned preventative maintenance and daily corrective work on critical data center equipment
- check_circlePerform rapid response and investigation of emergency situations and air quality complaints
- check_circleInterface with clients and vendors during phased data center construction commissioning and testing
- check_circleManage data center white space and back-of-house electrical loading and capacity for client installations
- check_circleCollaborate with contractors on daily operations and critical maintenance of UPS systems and generators
- check_circleProvide on-call support to respond to emergency situations at the data center
- check_circleMonitor service contractor performance and recommend necessary changes to improve operations
- check_circleAnalyze operating conditions to recommend new technologies for improved efficiency and cost reduction
- check_circleCreate, close, and track work requests while verifying completion of work orders
Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 1 year of electrical and mechanical experience
- verifiedDirectly related experience in data center critical equipment operation, installation, and maintenance
- verifiedKnowledge of NFPA Electrical, Fire and Life Safety, and building codes (NEC, NFPA 70E, 72, 25)
- verifiedValid driver's license
Nice to Have
Experience with dynamic rotary UPS systems, static switches, power monitoring systems, and data center power distribution and management systems.
